However, they’re coming off a 30-20 loss as 3-point home underdogs to the Montreal Alouettes Friday with the Under (50.5) hitting.
Before their Week 4 bye, the Roughriders covered as 2-point home favorites with a 36-20 win against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats June 23 as the Over (48) cashed. Saskatchewan improved to 3-0 straight up and against the spread (ATS), but lost QB Trevor Harris to a knee injury, which will sideline him 4 to 6 weeks.
Roughriders QB Shea Patterson will make his 1st career start; he was 4-for-10 for 41 yards in Week 3.

The Argonauts (-225) will probably win straight up, but it’s hard to stay profitable long term if you’re laying -225.
PASS. Bet the spread and/or total instead.
Against the spread
The market is overreacting to the news that Harris will be out Thursday. While Patterson isn’t the ideal QB that you’d like to bet on, the Argonauts with a backup signal-caller should not be laying 4.5 points on the road. Since upsetting the BC Lions in their season opener, the Argonauts have gone 0-2 ATS, as the market continues to overvalue them.
Going against Toronto without Bane Jr., who led the CFL with 93 receptions last year, isn’t a great situation for Saskatchewan backers. However, RB AJ Ouellette and coach Corey Mace will have extra motivation to beat their former team, and catching 3.5 points at home doesn’t hurt, either.

Over/Under
A low-scoring game seems more likely with 2 backup QBs on the field and Bane Jr. not available. Mace will probably have the Roughriders prioritize the run game with Ouellette playing his former team, and the Argonauts’ luck on offense may be running out after scoring just 20 points against the Alouettes Friday.
