Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
This would be a repeat of last year’s late-season matchup, one in which the Bills defeated the Steelers 17-10 on a stellar defensive performance by Buffalo’s unit. While it was still a win, it should be noted that the Bills knocked off the third-string quarterback for Pittsburgh, Duck Hodges. Bills quarterback Josh Allen also struck late for the game-winning touchdown to tight end Tyler Kroft… of all players.
This is a strong matchup between two prospective playoff teams. The added element of the AFC matchup could work into the tie-breaker formula.
Plus, Ben Roethlisberger is nearing the end of his career. The Steelers will only have so many opportunities with the 38-year-old at the helm. They may make a push knowing that time is ticking.
The connection between Sean McDermott and Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin is an interesting storyline as well, as both were collegiate teammates.
