Top Michigan football DT target sets decision, commitment date

He’s predicted to choose #Michigan! #GoBlue

Last weekend, Michigan football hosted a bevy of high-profile visitors, including two five-star prospects and a top target out of the state of Ohio. One such player doesn’t have the star ranking of some of his contemporaries, but he’s one of the Wolverines’ top prospects in 2024.

Hailing from Landsville (Pa.) Hempfield, three-star defensive tackle Deyvid Palepale is a high-priority recruit who the maize and blue are working hard to get into the 2024 class. Seemingly choosing between Michigan, Penn State, and USC, Palepale emerged from the weekend garnering multiple 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions indicating he’ll be a Wolverine.

And now we know when he’ll make his decision.

Taking to Twitter on Friday morning, Palepale announced that he will be sharing his school of choice on July 1, just over two weeks away from now.

Palepale is ranked the No. 782 prospect in the country in 2024, the No. 81 defensive lineman, and the 23rd-best player in the state of Pennsylvania according to the 247Sports Composite. He also has offers from Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, and Wisconsin, among others.

Hailing originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Palepale is cousins with former Oregon star Penei Sewell, who currently plays for the nearby Detroit Lions.
