1. Miami Dolphins
An all Alabama quarterback room? Why don’t we just start the Nick Saban to Miami rumors now?
All jokes aside, McCarron is a veteran that has been in the quarterback’s meeting room for four different franchises, knows what it’s like to transition from Alabama to the NFL and relates to Tua Tagovailoa when it comes to having a big spotlight on you after leaving one of the top collegiate programs in the country.
Tagovailoa is having an amazing start to his career, but he began the season as a backup to one of the most well-traveled veterans in the league to mentor him. McCarron can fill that role.
With Ryan Fitzpatrick in the final season of a two-year deal with the Dolphins, they will likely pass on re-signing him, and will be in the market for a backup, seeing as the only other “quarterback” on the active roster is Malcom Perry, who played quarterback while at Navy, but is now listed as a wide receiver.
