Tony Brown returns to Indianapolis Colts on one-year deal

Special teams stud, Tony Brown, is set to return for a second stint with the Colts

The NFL career isn’t smooth sailing for everyone, especially for former Alabama Crimson Tide legend [autotag]Tony Brown[/autotag]. With only 53 roster spots on 32 teams, it is a constant battle for jobs and Brown has continued to fight to stay in the league after going undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft.

Brown is known as one of the most charismatic players of the Saban era who played with reckless abandon and no fear. Unfortunately, he has struggled to find a permanent role in the NFL and has bounced around five different teams during his five years in the league.

Things may finally be falling in Brown’s favor though as he will have some stability for the 2023 season. Brown signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts worth $1.2M and $500,000 fully guaranteed after appearing in 16 games for them in 2022. Brown has been an outstanding special teams player so far in the league and will hopefully start seeing more time on defense.
