Tommy DeVito’s dad was in complete disbelief over a Giants’ fourth-down play call

Tommy DeVito’s dad was not a fan of this fourth-down call.

It’s safe to say Tommy DeVito’s dad was not a fan of this New York Giants fourth down call.

DeVito got his first official start for the Giants on Sunday, with the team still dealing with injuries to Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor. Against the Dallas Cowboys, DeVito and the Giants had an uphill battle to climb against one of the better teams in the NFC and this fourth down play didn’t do them any favors.

In the early second quarter, with the Cowboys leading 7-0, the Giants were parked at Dallas’ four-yard line off a key interception and were facing a fourth-and-two. On the play, the Giants ran Saquon Barkley up the middle for a gain of zero yards as the Cowboys defense stuffed the run game.

Cameras then caught DeVito’s dad — sitting with family for his son’s first NFL start — saying “that’s your fourth-and-three play?” after the Giants relinquished the ball.

The Giants definitely should be going back to the drawing board for fourth down plays after this one.
