Tom Izzo raves about progression from one particular MSU big man

One particular big man has impressed Tom Izzo so far in preseason practices

Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo has been impressed from what he’s seen so far in preseason practices from one particular Spartans big man.

Izzo met with the media earlier this week and he singled out Jaxon Kohler as someone that has been impressive so far. According to Jake Lyskawa of On3, Izzo said Kohler has become more versatile, and has “liked what (he’s) been seeing.”

Kohler is entering his third year with the Spartans, recording 55 career appearances in his first two seasons at Michigan State. Last year, he averaged two points and two rebounds across just under 10 minutes per game. Kohler, though, was coming off an injury that kept him out for a good chunk of the early season.
