Tom Brady rails over new NFL jersey number rules

Call Tom Brady old school when it comes to numbers he thinks players should wear

The G.O.A.T. went old school when it came to the NFL’s new rule regarding numbers players can wear in the 2021 season.

Skill position players are able to wear single-digit numbers after a rule passed this week and Tom Brady believes it is going to create chaos.

“Good luck trying to block the right people now!” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ QB posted on his Instagram story, with an image of the new numbers permitted. “Going to make for a lot of bad football!”

The rule permits quarterbacks, punters and place-kickers to wear numbers 1-19, defensive backs 1-49, linebackers 1-59, and running backs, tight ends, and wide receivers 1-49 and 80-89.
