Tom Brady has 5 times as many playoff wins as the Bucs franchise

Bucs QB Tom Brady brings with him a long resume of playoff success.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hoping the arrival of Tom Brady will bring a halt to their playoff drought that stretches all the way back to 2007. In fact, Tampa Bay hasn’t won a postseason game since their victory over the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII.

Postseason appearances have been few and far between for the Buccaneers over the course of their history. They’ve appeared in just 15 playoff games, going 6-9 in those games.

When you compare that to what Brady has done in the playoffs, it truly puts the quarterback’s greatness into perspective. Brady has a postseason record of 30-11, including six Super Bowl wins in nine appearances. That’s five times as many playoff wins as the Bucs franchise.

Even more impressive?

Brady went 10-0 to start his career in the playoffs, including three Super Bowl wins. That right there is good enough to beat the Bucs’ six.

While there’s no guarantee Brady’s postseason success will follow him from New England, the Buccaneers are banking on his playoff experience and expertise to be the difference maker for them in 2020.
