Todd McShay NFL mock draft: Broncos select WR Henry Ruggs

In his latest 2020 NFL mock draft, ESPN’s Todd McShay has the Broncos selecting Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs.

In his most recent 2020 NFL mock draft for ESPN, Todd McShay has the Denver Broncos selecting wide receiver Henry Ruggs with the 15th overall pick in the first round (subscription required for link).

This is a change from McShay’s last mock draft, which had Denver selecting Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. McShay now has Lamb going to the Oakland Raiders at No. 12 (and he has Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy going to the New York Jets at No. 11).

South Carolina’s Javon Kinlaw was still available at No. 15 in McShay’s mock but he believes Kinlaw is a better fit in a 4-3 defense.

Ruggs ran a blazing-fast 4.27-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine last week and he’s considered one of the top WRs in the draft. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared Ruggs to Ted Ginn, who was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 2007 draft.

This year’s draft will be held in Las Vegas from April 23-25.
