Philadelphia 76ers veteran Tobias Harris and rookie Matisse Thybulle have had a brotherly relationship all season as Harris has taken him under his wing. However, as all brothers do from time to time, the youngest one can get under the older one’s skin.
In an interview with the team’s social media team, Harris told a story about Thybulle being late before every game. The team has a routine they do before games and he and veteran Mike Scott always tell Thybulle to prepare for the routine, but the rookie never listens.
Harris said:
This right here is literally me every game. We’re supposed to be out in the tunnel with like 19 on the clock. [We] say a prayer and then run out onto the court. I always tell Matisse at like 25 minutes, ‘Get your stuff on. Get ready.’ He always says, ‘Oh, I have plenty of time.’
Sure and behold, 19 on the clock, even maybe less than that, he comes running out, he doesn’t have his sweatpants on. He doesn’t have his sneakers tied up and it’s either me or always Mike telling him, ‘Next time, we’re just going to leave you!’ We’ve let it go on too much this year but that’s me, in a nutshell, telling him, ‘Come on, bro. You can’t keep doing this!’

Then Scott got involved on Twitter adding that the young man just does not listen.

Whether he is late or on time, Thybulle has had a terrific season for Philadelphia and he should have consideration for the All-Rookie Team whenever they get released. He just needs to work on his timeliness. [lawrence-related id=30286,30273,30265]
