T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison ruled out due to injury

T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison have been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson and wide receiver Jordan Addison have both been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

T.J. Hockenson suffered an apparent knee injury when he was tackled low on a 24-yard catch up the seam. Jordan Addison was questionable to return after he suffered his ankle injury after a Nick Mullens interception but he was deemed unable to return.

When Justin Jefferson was out, these were the two players that had to step up in his absence. Now that Jefferson is back, he will be tasked to take on even more than his usual workload to make up for the loss of both of the top secondary pass-catchers in this offense.

Minnesota will also rely on this running game to get going to take some of the onus off the passing game. Chandler and Mattison, who is still recovering from a high ankle sprain of his own, have combined for 15 total yards on nine carries.
