Titans WR A.J. Brown: ‘Who wouldn’t want to play with Tom Brady?’

A.J. Brown added he’d like to have Ryan Tannehill back, first and foremost.

A.J. Brown wasn’t afraid to admit that the idea of Tom Brady joining the Tennessee Titans is an “insane” prospect.

The New England Patriots quarterback is a pending free agent, and the Titans are a natural fit, in part because coach Mike Vrabel played alongside Brady with the Patriots. But Tennessee also boasts a solid ground of skill players, including tight end Delanie Walker and receivers Corey Davis, Adam Humphries and Brown. The young wideout added he’d like to have quarterback Ryan Tannehill back, first and foremost. But if Tannehill ends up leaving in free agency…

“Who wouldn’t want to play with Tom Brady?” Brown asked on Sirius XM NFL Radio on Monday.

The NFL’s tampering window opens on March 16 when teams can begin negotiations with pending free agents. Teams can finalize deals when the new league year opens on March 18. If Brady doesn’t re-sign with the Patriots, he’s likely to have a great deal of interest from NFL teams. Perhaps the Titans will be in the mix.

“I’m just going to be honest,” Brown said on Sirius XM NFL Radio. “He knows how to do it. He’s won Super Bowls, and I really want to be around him. Even if I don’t play with him, I just want to have a conversation with him and try to pick his brain and see how he does things. But if we’re fortunate enough to get Tom Brady this year, that would be insane. But regardless of whoever we get, I just want them just to kinda hurry up so I can know who my quarterback will be this upcoming year.”
