Titans waiting for legal process to play out with Hassan Haskins

The Titans are waiting on the legal process to play out with Hassan Haskins before making a decision on him.

After finding himself in legal trouble following an alleged domestic violence exchange with his girlfriend in June, the status of Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins remains up in the air.

Of course, if Haskins is found to have done even one-tenth of what he’s been accused of, the Titans will certainly part ways with the former fourth-round pick.

However, as of right now, the Titans are waiting to see how things play out via the legal process before making a decision on him, as head coach Mike Vrabel explained on Tuesday.

“One, we’re very sensitive to those incidents. But we want to be smart, and we want to provide for all the facts and all the information we can possibly get, and the legal process,” Vrabel explained, per Jim Wyatt. “We treat those very seriously. We want to make great decisions but also want to give Hassan and everybody some due process and allow for all the facts to come out.”

Haskins is slated to serve as the Titans’ No. 3 running back this season behind Derrick Henry and Tyjae Spears, while also having a role on special teams, including possibly in the return game.

The Michigan product’s scheduled trial date is set for August 30.
