It’s no secret that Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks had a roller coaster of a rookie year in the NFL.
When he was on the field, he was a major asset to the team and arguably one of the most important players on offense. Unfortunately, getting him on the field was half the battle at times.
The Arkansas product only played in a total of 11 games, two of which he left early. Despite the constant adversity, Burks still produced at a relatively high level this season.
According to Pro Football Focus, Tennessee’s first-round receiver had the highest run-blocking grade by a rookie wideout (75.8), sixth-highest overall grade (74.1), and seventh-highest receiving grade (73.9).
Another area where Burks excelled was his ability to produce a momentum-altering big play for a Titans offense that surely needed all the help it could get.
Tennessee’s first-round wideout finished the 2022 season with the seventh-highest big-play percentage in the NFL (17.2 percent). A “big play” is a carry that goes for 10 or more yards, and a pass that goes for 20 or more.

Burks produced a total of 10 big plays on the year despite missing nearly half of the season.
The Titans’ top wideout has a major opportunity to take that next step in Year 2, but to do so he will have to stay healthy. It’ll also help if Tennessee can manage to run a more competent offense that better features Burks.
