Titans trade OLB Kamalei Correa to Jaguars

Correa will remain in the AFC South.

Outside linebacker Kamalei Correa has apparently gotten his wish after requesting a trade from the Tennessee Titans, as he has been dealt to the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to multiple reports.

According to Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky, the Titans and Jags will also swap late-round picks, although it isn’t clear exactly which picks those will be yet.

Correa was arguably the team’s best pass-rusher in the latter half of the 2019 campaign, as he posted six sacks in the Titans’ last eight games (including playoffs).

However, Correa has seen the field sparingly in 2020, even with the Titans short-handed at outside linebacker. The 26-year-old veteran has played just 39 snaps in the three games that he’s suited up, and he was inactive for the Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Tennessee originally acquired Correa from the Baltimore Ravens back in 2018 for a sixth-round pick. He signed a one-year, $2.25 million deal with the Titans during the offseason.
