Titans signing RB Jacques Patrick to practice squad

The Titans are reportedly reuniting with running back Jacques Patrick.

The Tennessee Titans are making an addition to their practice squad ahead of the Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

According to Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com, the Titans are signing running back Jacques Patrick to the practice squad. This is Patrick’s second stint with Tennessee after being on the offseason roster prior to getting cut.

Patrick played in the Titans’ final two preseason games, totaling 23 carries for 105 yards. Prior to his stint with Tennessee, he was the leading rusher of the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL with 443 yards (3.9 yards per carry) and five touchdowns. He finished second on the team with 238 receiving yards.

The Titans don’t currently have a running back on their practice squad, and with 16 players listed in the group as of this writing, they won’t need to make a corresponding move to fit him in. The Titans have an exemption that allows them to carry a 17th thanks to Thomas Odukoya.
