Titans signing DL Taylor Stallworth to practice squad

The Titans are signing DL Taylor Stallworth to their practice squad.

One day after the Tennessee Titans were absolutely toasted in the run game, the team is planning on signing a defensive lineman to the practice squad.

Per his agent, Brett Tessler, the Titans are signing defensive lineman Taylor Stallworth to the practice squad. Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com reports Tennessee will release Jayden Peevy, so there’s your corresponding move.

A former undrafted free-agent signing of the New Orleans Saints out of South Carolina, Stallworth has appeared in 57 games (two starts) over five seasons in the NFL, tallying 4.5 sacks, 52 combined tackles (seven for loss) and 14 QB hits. He has not taken a snap this season, though.

The Titans have two other defensive linemen on their practice squad in Jaleel Johnson, who was elevated for Week 5 with Teair Tart out, and rookie TK McLendon.

The Titans’ run defense was gashed for nearly 200 yards in Week 5. The hope is that Tart, who was sorely missed, will be back for Week 6.
