The Tennessee Titans are reportedly showing interest in 2023 NFL draft prospect and former Michigan State safety, Kendell Brooks.
The news comes from Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston, who also notes that Brooks has Zoom meetings setup with the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars.
After transferring to Michigan State in 2021 and playing sparingly, Brooks was thrust into a starting role in 2022, appearing in 11 games and tallying 100 tackles (3.5 for loss), three passes defensed and three forced fumbles.

Watching Brooks reminds me of Jacksonville Jaguars’ safety Daniel Thomas. Selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Auburn, the two share a lot of similarities. Brooks, like Thomas, is a short, stocky defender and force against the run. Each of them possesses that toughness intangible (country strong) that resonates with coaches. It worked for Thomas, now we will await and see if the same outcome comes to fruition for Brooks.

While the Titans should be focusing heavily on offense in this draft, the team could look to add defensive players late. Brooks figures to be around in the seventh, but he may also go undrafted.
