With the No. 29 overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans have selected Georgia offensive tackle, Isaiah Wilson.

There was some thought that the Titans would trade out of this spot, however that turned out not to be the case and instead the Titans have taken their right tackle of the future.

Earlier in the day, MMQB’s Albert Breer reported he was hearing that the Titans could actually move up to draft Wilson, but Tennessee was able to stand pat, save draft capital and still get their guy.

Clearly the Titans wanted to address the future at right tackle in this draft after Jack Conklin departed in free agency. Wilson was one of the best options for the Titans to do that in this spot.

For the time being, Dennis Kelly, who was re-signed to a three-year deal this offseason, is projected to be the starter, which should give Wilson at least one year to develop. For now, he’ll likely serve as a depth piece for Tennessee during the 2020 campaign.

If no trades happen moving forward, the Titans have one pick in rounds two, three and five, and then three more in the seventh.
