The Tennesee Titans selected LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft on Friday evening.
Fulton (6-0, 197 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds and ran a 20-yard shuttle in 4.36 seconds at the combine earlier this offseason. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared Fulton to Quincy Wilson, who was a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
“When the pros and cons are balanced, he appears to be a good backup with a chance to work up the ladder,” Zierlein wrote of Fulton on NFL.com before the draft.
During his final two seasons with the Tigers, Fulton totaled 54 tackles, two interceptions, 20 pass breakups and one forced fumble. He helped LSU win the CFB National Championship as a senior in 2019.
Fulton was the third-best cornerback in this year’s class, according to Luke Easterling’s rankings for Draft Wire. Ohio State’s Jeff Okudah and Florida’s CJ Henderson were the only cornerbacks that Draft Wire had ranked higher than Fulton.
