Titans QB Will Levis gets ‘Angry Runs’ scepter for Week 14 play

Titans QB Will Levis was given the “Angry Runs” scepter for a play he made in Week 14.

Running back Derrick Henry is no stranger to winning the “Angry Runs” scepter handed out by “Good Morning Football” host Kyle Brandt. In fact, King Henry has won it a whopping six times.

But this time around, it’s one of his teammates who is winning the honor.

Brandt announced that Titans quarterback Will Levis has been awarded the “Angry Runs” scepter for a play that involved him escaping a sack and then trucking Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

While impressive, Levis’ runs from the win on Monday night has led to a big conversation about the quarterback doing a better job protecting himself, which he admits he needs to work on.

“It’s been a point of emphasis, going back to last week,” Levis said, per Jim Wyatt. “I obviously needed to take the coaching points a little better. I just need to make sure that I know that I am not putting my body in harm’s way.

“My best ability is my availability, and I have to know that.”

Head coach Mike Vrabel hilariously revealed the team will now be showing Levis clips of quarterbacks taking big hits after not sliding in order to convince him to do so more.

“I don’t know, I think we’re still trying to work on that,” Vrabel said, per Paul Kuharsky. “We showed him examples of quarterbacks sliding and using the rules to their advantage. I guess we’ll have to show him examples of quarterbacks not sliding and getting the [expletive] knocked out of them.

“So, we’re going to try it the other way this week.”

We’ll see how well that worked when Levis leads the Titans in a Week 15 matchup against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
