Titans promote TE Tommy Hudson to active roster

The move comes on the heels of the Titans ruling TE Anthony Firkser out for Week 3.

The Tennessee Titans made a roster move on Friday, promoting tight end Tommy Hudson to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

The move comes on the heels of the team ruling out fellow tight end Anthony Firkser (knee) for the Week 3 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. This is the second straight game Firkser will miss.

With Firkser out and Hudson promoted, the Titans will have three tight ends active for Sunday, with MyCole Pruitt and Geoff Swaim being the others.

Pruitt in particular shined in Week 2. Not only did he make an impact as a blocker, he was also productive in the passing game, securing all three of his targets for 43 yards in the 33-30 overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Swaim and Pruitt will see the majority of snaps at the position on Sunday, with Hudson mixing in here and there. Tennessee and Indianapolis are set for a noon CT kickoff at Nissan Stadium.
