The 2019 season was a long and winding road for the Tennessee Titans.
After a 2-4 start, the team totally turned things around, benching former starting quarterback Marcus Mariota in favor of Ryan Tannehill, who ignited the offense in a way almost no one thought to be possible.
But the team’s Cinderella Story of a season met its end on Sunday in Arrowhead Stadium as the Titans fell 35-24 to a Kansas City Chiefs team they had defeated 35-32 back in November.
Players and fans took to social media after the loss.

Since our season is over now, I want to thank Marcus Mariota. You did a lot for this franchise. You did a lot for the city of Nashville. And you did a lot for the state of Tennessee. Even in your darkest moment you stayed true to your character. Nothing but respect bro.

If you’re still posting “Titans suck” you don’t know anything and you’re an idiot.

Gotta give a special shoutout to Mike Vrabel and the Tennessee Titans. Old-school team that fought their way to the conference finals with a team not filled with household names. They'll be back next year.
