Earlier in the day it was reported that the Tennessee Titans were signing wide receiver Chris Conley off the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad but didn’t receive the corresponding move.
Now we know what it is — Titans 2022 fifth-round pick and wide receiver Kyle Philips has been placed on injured reserve, meaning he’ll miss the next four games.
Philips suffered a hamstring injury during Friday’s practice, leading to his being ruled out in Week 7. He has also dealt with a shoulder issue.
With Philips on IR, the Titans now have 13 players on the list, five of which have been drafted in the last two years. Philips is also the second wideout drafted in 2022 to be placed on IR, along with Treylon Burks.

Tennessee currently has four wide receivers on its active roster in Conley, Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Cody Hollister, as well as three more on the practice squad in Dez Fitzpatrick, C.J. Board and Mason Kinsey.
