Titans part ways with long-time equipment manager Paul Noska

Noska spent a whopping 40 years with the franchise, and 23 as its equipment manager.

The Tennessee Titans decided not to renew the contract of their long-time equipment manager, Paul Noska, who had been in the role for 23 years. The news comes from Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky.

He notes that the man also known as “Hoss” had been part of the team’s equipment staff for a whopping 40 years and was beloved by former players and coaches and was one of the first people they would greet when visiting.

Kuharsky even went as far as to call him a “beloved franchise institution.”

It isn’t clear why Noska wasn’t retained. On the surface, the move is at least a bit odd considering his long, positive history with the team, but perhaps things will become more clear in the near future.

On top of his duties ordering and maintaining the team’s equipment, he was also responsible for the computer inventory system of said equipment.
