Titans’ OL coach worked with Alabama O-linemen at Pro Day workout

Titans OL coach Jason Houghtaling was working with Alabama O-linemen during the school’s Pro Day on Thursday.

The Pro Day circuit is in full swing as we slowly inch closer to the 2023 NFL draft weekend with each passing day.

Mike Vrabel, Ran Carthon and several of the Tennessee Titans’ decision-makers are traveling around the country to get one last look at prospects as each school holds its final organized workouts at their respective campuses.

On Thursday, members of Tennessee’s staff spent the day in Alabama, getting one final peak at all of the draft-eligible players of the Crimson Tide football team.

One coach in particular made the most of his time in Tuscaloosa, with new offensive line coach Jason Houghtaling working with the O-linemen there, per ESPN’s Turron Davenport.

Former first-round pick and offensive lineman D.J. Fluker also took part in the workout in an attempt to resurrect his career and appears to be in the best shape of his life, or at least of his playing career.

This is notable, of course, because of the Titans’ need upfront at guard, where Fluker has experience playing.

The Titans probably aren’t taking any of these Alabama linemen in Round 1, but it’s nice to see Houghtaling getting a first-hand look at a few players who could provide some much-needed depth on Day 2 and 3.
