Titans now even bigger favorites over Lions for Week 15

The line for Titans-Lions is even bigger than it was to start the week.

The Tennessee Titans started out the week as massive favorites over the Detroit Lions ahead of Sunday’s contest, but that line has grown even bigger since then.

According to BetMGM, Tennessee is now an 12-point favorite over Detroit, which is up from the 10.5-point favorite it was earlier in the week. The over/under has remained the same, though.

Spread: Titans -12

Money Line: -650/+500

Over/Under: 51.5

We’re still waiting on official word about Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is listed as questionable, but per NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Stafford is preparing to play.

Perhaps Las Vegas knows something we don’t, because this gigantic line is indicative of the Lions not having their franchise quarterback under center. Granted, we expected the Titans to be favorites here, but not by that much.

Should Stafford sit, Chase Daniel would get the call for Detroit, making for a major downgrade to the Lions’ offense.

The Titans could be adding players instead of subtracting in Week 15.

No. 1 cornerback Adoree’ Jackson is questionable for this contest, and it’s the first time since being activated off Injured Reserve that he hasn’t been ruled out on the Friday before the game. Jackson has yet to play this season.

Adding to him, rookie cornerback Kristian Fulton carries no designation and appears set to suit up for the first time since Week 7, giving the Titans some reinforcements in their secondary, which has been injury-riddled and inconsistent for much of the 2020 season.

Tennessee and Detroit will kickoff at noon CT on Sunday.
