Titans’ Kristian Fulton is ‘definitely looking forward’ to facing Joe Burrow

Kristian Fulton can’t wait to face his former teammate, Joe Burrow.

Tennessee Titans second-round pick Kristian Fulton will be seeing plenty of his former LSU teammates during the 2020 season, but facing Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is at the top of the list for him.

Fulton was a guest on the Official Titans Podcast and named Burrow when he was asked which former teammate he was most looking forward to facing during his rookie campaign (H/T David Boclair of Sports Illustrated).

“I definitely got to go with Joe,” Fulton said “Number-one pick. Teammate. I’m definitely looking forward to playing against him.”

Fulton and the Titans will meet Burrow and the Bengals in a Week 8 game that will take place in Cincinnati. It’s the first meeting between the two franchises since the 2017 season.

Another former teammate Fulton named was Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark, who Fulton says he had battles with in practice at LSU and will see twice this season.

“D.J. Chark for Jacksonville — we had a couple battles in practice,” Fulton said. “So, it’s going to be fun to get some games for us together.”

Wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2020 NFL Draft, is another player Fulton could matchup with during the season.

“It’s crazy, but it’s definitely going to be a fun experience having those guys at different teams,” Fulton said. “It seems like I’m going to be playing somebody from LSU every week. So, I’m looking forward to it.”

Fulton is slated to be the Titans’ slot corner this season, but first he’s going to have to prove himself in training camp and during the preseason if he wants to get significant snaps, some of which could lead to him covering his former mates.
