The Tennessee Titans hosted free-agent defensive end Tarell Basham for a visit on Friday, according to the league’s transactions wire.
A former third-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts, Basham spent a season-plus in Indy before being waived and claimed by the New York Jets. After two-plus seasons there, Basham was signed by the Dallas Cowboys.
In 2021, Basham tallied 39 tackles (three for loss), 3.5 sacks and 11 QB hits in 17 games (six starts). He appeared in just two games for Dallas in 2022 before being waived, but did not record a stat.
The Titans are set to not have Denico Autry for yet another game after he sat out in Week 12. Hopefully their interest in Basham is just the team doing due diligence on a depth option and not a sign that Autry is set to miss more time.
