Titans’ Derrick Henry tied for second-highest RB rating in Madden NFL 22

Derrick Henry isn’t the highest-rated RB in Madden NFL 22.

Fresh off a season in which he rushed for 2,000 yards and won his second straight rushing title, Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is tied for the second-highest rating among rushers in “Madden NFL 22”.

The popular video game franchise has slowly begun revealing the top-rated players at every position, including at wide receiver where Julio Jones was given a top-10 rating (95), but A.J. Brown was not.

Henry has landed an overall rating of 96, tying him with Cleveland Browns rusher, Nick Chubb. Carolina Panthers running back, Christian McCaffrey, was given a mark of 97, the highest among all backs in the game.

While we like McCaffrey as a player, we still think Henry should be No. 1. After all, no back in the NFL has dominated like him the past two seasons, and McCaffrey is coming off a campaign in which he played just three games.

We were hoping Henry would get  “The 99 Club” treatment this year, but that is not the case. So far, only Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams have graced that list.

Ratings can and will change, though. The game regularly updates them over the course of the season. Perhaps Henry can surpass McCaffrey at some point, and quite possibly make his way into the aforementioned club.

At least Henry has begun getting respect from NFL analysts, as the Alabama product has routinely been ranked at No. 1 in several running back rankings this offseason.
