Titans activate Julio Jones off COVID-19 list among 6 moves

The Titans activated the last of their active-roster players from the COVID-19 list on Monday.

The Tennessee Titans activated the last of their active-roster players from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. The team announced it has activated wide receiver Julio Jones, linebacker Jayon Brown and backup offensive tackle Kendall Lamm.

On the practice squad, defensive back Briean Boddy-Calhoun was removed from the COVID-19 list, but offensive tackle Paul Adams was added to it.

Tight end MyCole Pruitt was placed on Injured Reserve as expected after suffering a brutal injury in Week 17 that was reported to be a fractured and dislocated ankle. It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Pruitt’s season is likely over.

“I was able to talk to him last night,” Vrabel said of Pruitt. “It’s disappointing, and it’s sad to watch guys who put a lot into it and see anybody get injured.”

As far as what the Titans will do to replace Pruitt, who leaves fairly big shoes to fill thanks to his contributions as both a pass-catcher and blocker, Vrabel said, “we’ll look at all possibilities to see how we’ll replace MyCole.”

The Titans will look to clinch the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye with a win when they travel to NRG Stadium in Week 18 to take on the Houston Texans.
