Tim Tebow a fan of Giants QB Daniel Jones

The always diplomatic Tom Tebow said he’s a fan of “well coached” New York Giants QB Daniel Jones.

You can take Tim Tebow’s analysis for what it’s worth, especially when it comes to young NFL quarterbacks. But to be fair, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner knows what he’s looking at.

Tebow’s analysis may be vanilla in nature, but in the case of New York Giants second-year quarterback Daniel Jones, Tebow, being interviewed at the New York Mets’ spring training home in Port St. Lucie, Florida where he is working out with the team, pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Jones is “well-coached,” according to Tebow, which is something we already knew. He was tutored by David Cutcliffe at Duke and then by Pat Shurmur last year. This year, Jones will under the watchful eye of offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and quarterbacks coach Jerry Schuplinski.

Tebow was one of the greatest college football quarterbacks of all-time, winning two national championships at Florida. He was a first-round pick (No. 25 overall) of the Denver Broncos in the 2010 NFL Draft and led the Broncos to an overtime playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in January of 2012.

Tebow went on to play for the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots before retiring from the NFL in 2016 to pursue his baseball career with the Mets.
