Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning defeated Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady in The Match: Champions for Charity event on Sunday afternoon. Woods and Manning got off to a hot start, aided greatly by Tom Brady, who had a bit of a meltdown on the opening seven holes.
Mickelson and Brady then charged back, but couldn’t catch up and ended up losing the match on the 18th.
After the match, Tiger Woods took to Twitter, and depending on who you ask, either had a nice note that showed how classy a winner he was, or viciously trolled Tom Brady. It’s definitely one of the two.
Here’s the tweet:
What a job by Peyton. Thanks for helping me beat @PhilMickelson this time around. @TomBrady showed up too. What a fun day for an even better cause! pic.twitter.com/uB08sZkW17

So, there are very clearly two ways to read this.
One: Woods was being nice, and saying that while Brady started slowly, he eventually “showed up too” and started playing really well down the stretch.
Two: Woods was not being nice, and suggesting that Tom Brady merely showed up for the event, and did nothing of note after arriving.
I am going to choose to read it the second way, because it is much, much funnier to do it that way. Like, hey Peyton was incredible, Phil put up a hell of a fight, and Tom Brady was also in attendance!
That is funny, to me. I will choose to view it this way.
