For the first time since the 2014 season, Alabama Baseball has a spot in the Baseball America preseason top-25 poll.
Alabama is one of nine programs from the Southeastern Conference to land in the publications preseason outlook. Others from the SEC to make the preseason poll from Baseball America were #1 Florida, #4 Ole Miss, #6 Vanderbilt, No. 8 Mississippi State, No. 10 LSU, No. 14 Arkansas, No. 18 South Carolina and No. 19 Tennessee.
Baseball America had high praise for Alabama, telling readers that “it might be a good time to buy stock in Alabama before the price soars.”
Alabama returns 10 pitchers including left-hander Connor Prielipp, as well as six starting position players from last season’s squad that finished 16-1 before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the season to halt.
The Crimson Tide begin the 2021 season at home on February 19, when they open a three-game series with McNeese State. The time for first pitch has not been announced at this time.
