The OKC Thunder have signed guard Charlie Brown Jr. to a 10-day contract, Oklahoma City announced on Sunday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed guard Charlie Brown Jr. to a 10-day contract, the team announced on Sunday.

Brown played on the Iowa Wolves this G League season. In 13 appearances, he averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.7 steals in 30 minutes per game.

He spent the bulk of the 2019-20 season with the College Park Skyhawks, the G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks. There, he averaged 17.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.

The 6-foot-6 guard’s shooting percentages were poor that season, 42.4% from the field and 25.6% from 3, but those numbers increased in the bubble, when he shot 44.7% from the field and 35.5% from deep.

Brown, who turned 24 in February, played 10 games on the Hawks in 2019-20. He averaged four minutes per appearance.

Oklahoma City has 12 games left on its schedule. Looking to the future, if Brown is offered a second 10-day contract, he would be available for at least 11 games, depending when he clears COVID-19 protocol and when the second contract is signed, if at all.
