Three-star TE schedules official visit with Washington

The Washington Huskies are looking to bring in multiple tight ends in the class of 2025 and have set an official visit date with a three-star prospect from California.

Tight ends coach Jordan Paopao and the Washington Huskies are looking to bring in multiple players at the position in the class of 2025. It appears one of those players could be three-star Kellan Ford, who scheduled an official visit to Seattle for the weekend of May 3.

Ford, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound prospect from Monte Vista High School in Danville, California, holds 10 scholarship offers and also set official visit dates with the California Golden Bears and Arizona Wildcats on Friday.

The nation’s No. 20 tight end according to 247 Sports will travel to Berkley on June 6 and take a visit to Tucson on June 21. However, Paopao will try to secure his commitment before he has a chance to take either of those trips.

Ford will join a few other priority targets for the Huskies on his visit, including four-star wide receiver Cooper Perry and three-star offensive lineman Peter Langi. He also becomes the second tight end Paopao has scheduled an official with after four-star Baron Naone announced his intentions to take a visit to Seattle on June 21.

In the beginning of his second stint as Washington’s tight ends coach, Paopao has hit the recruiting trail hard. Along with Naone and Ford, he is making a push for four-star prospects AJ Ia and Vander Ploog, as well as three-stars Bear Tenney and Noah Flores.

Washington will have just three scholarship tight ends on the roster in 2025 and with Jedd Fisch’s preference to utilize high school recruiting over the transfer portal, the Huskies will push to take at least two tight ends in their recruiting class.
