The Ohio State basketball team has its second commitment to the 2023 recruiting class with the announcement from a three-star center out of St. Mary’s Memorial High School in Ohio, Austin Parks.
At 6-foot, 9-inches, 240-pounds, Parks had offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Michigan State, Indiana, and more, but at the end of the day, he knew he was going to commit to the Buckeyes and decided to announce it to the world at a ceremony at his high school on Sunday afternoon.
The commitment moves OSU up to No. 12 in the country and fourth in the Big Ten, just behind Michigan State. Parks is ranked as the No. 148 overall recruit and 18th overall center in the country 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Parks plays bigger than his size and will likely be inserted into the frontcourt with Zed Key and last year’s big man in the 2022 class, Felix Okpara.
