These three things could be detrimental to Texas’ dream season.

Much of the talk around the Texas Longhorns in 2023 is the fact that it’s finally their year.

The stars have aligned for the Longhorns who have desperately been fighting to return to prominence that they once experienced in 2009 and the early 2000’s. The Big 12 Conference has been countlessly picked apart, while Texas on the other hand has one of the strongest rosters in the country.

Texas’ offense is full of experienced and elite players, while their defense has some very talented players in their own right. The Longhorns are one of the few teams that was able to make up for just about every player they lost and upgrade at that position. However, every Texas fan is well aware of things not working out for them.

It’s been an ongoing phenomenon, as just when Texas fans get a glimmer of hope something goes wrong. Whether it was after Sam Ehlinger declared Texas was back and then they fell flat on their face, or if it was last year not getting the production from Quinn Ewers they were hoping. Something has always gotten in Texas’ way, and while the confidence around Austin is as high as it’s been in a decade, there are still occurrences that prevent the Longhorns from reaching their goal of winning the Big 12 and potentially reaching the College Football Playoff.
