Three reasons Texas fell to Oklahoma on Tuesday night

There was a bit of sloppy play from the Longhorns as they turned it over 13 times on Tuesday.

The big man that roams the paint, Jericho Sims, was unavailable, which forced Royce Hamm to start. He provided seven points and five rebounds with one block, but Hamm fouled out midway through the second half, which really tested the depth of this short-handed team.

While Hamm provided some rebounding, the squad missed his energy on the defensive side of the ball. They needed his defensive intensity. The other key player missing for those loose balls and energy on the floor was Brock Cunningham, who is getting closer to returning.

The bulldog in Courtney Ramey was probably missed most of all. He can be a facilitator for the offense as well as his work on the glass from the guard spot. Ramey is averaging 14 points with four assists and three rebounds. The Longhorns could have used that against Oklahoma, as well as his outside shot.

Next, the 3-ball wasn’t working for Texas.
