Three reasons Texas fell to Oklahoma on Tuesday night

There was a bit of sloppy play from the Longhorns as they turned it over 13 times on Tuesday.

Texas knew it wasn’t going to be an easy battle with Oklahoma.

On Monday, it was announced by Texas head coach Shaka Smart that he tested positive for COVID-19 and would enter self-isolation. Not having your head coach is a disadvantage for any team, but the Longhorns were also  without Brock Cunningham due to COVID protocols. It was announced before the game that Jericho Sims and Courtney Ramey would also miss the game. More on that in a moment.

After building an early lead, the Sooners went on a run and led the rest of the way. The Longhorns made runs but never overtook the Sooners. Texas ended up dropping its third game and second conference game. Both conference losses happened on their home floor by a combined three points.
