Three reasons Oklahoma won 27-21 against Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship Game

Three reasons why the Oklahoma Sooners won their sixth straight Big 12 title on Saturday afternoon against the Iowa State Cyclones.

The Oklahoma Sooners are once again Big 12 champions after defeating Iowa State on Saturday in Arlington.

Oklahoma got off to a hot start, jumping up 17-0 in the second quarter and holding a 24-7 lead at the halftime break.

But, as has been an issue in recent years, the offense started to get overly conservative in the second half with the lead and the Cyclones started to mount a comeback – cutting the lead all the way down to 24-21 late.

But, after a Gabe Brkic field goal to make it 27-21, Tre Brown picked up a massive interception to seal the deal late.

It was a huge win for the Sooners in their biggest game of the season to claim their sixth consecutive conference title. Here are three reasons why it happened.
