Three reasons Oklahoma won 27-14 against Baylor in Norman

Three reasons why Oklahoma knocked off Baylor 27-7 in their home finale Saturday night in Norman.

No. 11 Oklahoma ran their winning streak up to six games on Saturday night with a defensive-driven 27-14 win over Baylor.

This was not the type of Sooner game that we have gotten used to seeing in recent years as the offense faltered while the defense exceled.

The Bears didn’t even get onto the scoreboard until the latter stages of the third quarter, and that came after a drive was kept alive on an offsides penalty.

The offense never could quite get in sync as Dave Aranda, similarly to when he was at LSU last season, had his unit ready to go with answers for most everything Lincoln Riley threw at them for the large majority of the evening.

It was a little underwhelming, but it was another solid win for Oklahoma that clinched them a spot in the Big 12 title game in two weeks. Here are three reasons why it happened:
