Three Notre Dame Players Among 58 to Participate in Virtual NFL Draft

Nationally Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Tua Tagovailova are among the several stars set to participate.  The three Notre Dame players set to participate are Chase Claypool, Cole Kmet and Julian Okwara.

The NFL Draft that is now less than two weeks away promises to be memorable.  Hopefully sooner than later we’ll return to normal and have real games to break down and discuss but in the meantime this will be memorable for all of the oddities we are going to see.

Virtual war rooms, no draft picks hugging Roger Goodell and no crowds whatsoever.  Now add another oddity to it all as 58 prospects including three former Notre Dame players are set to participate virtually in the draft.

My guess is that it’s a way to make sure those who carry the draft on TV and radio get interviews from the top players confirmed.  Although it would be hilarious if all 58 had to sit in a virtual Zoom conference room and weren’t allowed to leave it until they were selected.
