Three Georgia players to watch in the Sugar Bowl

Three key Georgia players to watch out for against Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl

The No. 2 seed Georgia Bulldogs are playing the No. 7 seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Sugar Bowl.

The Sugar Bowl will played in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Jan. 1 at 8:45 p.m. ET as part of the College Football Playoff quarterfinals).

Here are the three Georgia players to watch for against Notre Dame.

Quarterback Gunner Stockton

All eyes will be on Gunner Stockton in the Sugar Bowl. In the SEC championship, Stockton had a lot of good moments and showed his competitiveness. Stockton is not scared of the moment and seizes every opportunity in front of him. With the Georgia offense now being catered towards him, there will be an even more confident Gunner and a team that is ready to step up for him.

Warren Brinson played the game of his life in the SEC championship accounting for a sack and two and half tackles for loss. Brinson will be a huge  part into shutting down the Notre Dame’s dynamic 10th rated rushing offense and running back Jeremiyah Love. If Brinson plays like how he did in the Texas game, then he will be moving up NFL draft boards and help the Bulldogs to advance to the next round in the playoff.

Running Back Trevor Etienne

Trevor Etienne will be relied upon to shoulder some burden away from Gunner and to make some plays happen early in this game. Etienne had a rib injury that stooped him from being 100% but now with the three weeks off he is the closest to 100% since the Texas matchup in Austin. Etienne is one of the most talented players on this offense so expect him to have the ball in his hands.
