Three former Kentucky basketball stars on Team USA Summer Olympic team

Three former Kentucky basketball players will be on Team USA for the Summer Olympics.

The 2024 Summer Olympics men’s basketball team will have a Wildcats feel to it. Team USA will have three former Kentucky basketball players on the roster.

First up is Anthony Davis, who was a national Player of the Year and a champion for the Cats. The Lakers star is averaging 25 points and 12 rebounds a game while blocking over 2 shots per contest.

Bam Adebayo is another former Wildcat frontcourt player representing Kentucky. He’s averaging 20 points and 10 boards for the Miami Heat this season.

Devin Booker is the third former Kentucky player on the team. He’s having a great season for the Phoenix Suns, putting up 27 points and 7 assists per game.

They’ll join veterans like LeBron James and Kevin Durant, as well as young stars like Anthony Edwards and Jayson Tatum as Team USA competes for gold medals this summer.

All three players do have previous gold medals. Booker and Adebayo won theirs in 2020, while Davis got his in 2012. Big Blue Nation is sure to be watching and cheering for them to get another one this summer.
