Del Rio-Wilson played his first three seasons of prep football for the McEachern Indians in Powder Springs, Georgia, serving as the starting quarterback since his sophomore year and throwing for 3,930 yards and 36 touchdowns, while adding 593 yards and eight scores on the ground.
This fall, he will make the roughly 57-mile move east to play for the Grayson Rams, where he will be teammates with four-star wide receiver Daejon Reynolds, a fellow Gators commit.
Shooting up the recruiting rankings after his performance at the Elite 11 Finals in Nashville, Tennessee from June 29-to-July 1, the 6-foot-3-inch, 215-pound Del Rio-Wilson is Florida’s third-highest rated pledge in the class, per the 247Sports Composite, and the second-highest on the offensive side of the football, trailing only Ocala four-star wideout Trevonte Rucker.
Along with 2020 signee Anthony Richardson, the Peach State product provides fans will plenty of reasons for optimism regarding the future of the quarterback position in The Swamp.
