Three biggest storylines ahead of Oklahoma’s game against Kansas

The three biggest storylines to watch for ahead of Oklahoma’s battle with Kansas in Norman on Saturday afternoon.

No. 19 Oklahoma is on a three-game winning streak and playing much closer to the quality of football we have come to expect from them under Lincoln Riley.

Since the debacles against Kansas State and Iowa State, the Sooners have played better virtually across the board on both offense and defense.

The level of play was already trending positively before the return of Ronnie Perkins and Rhamondre Stevenson from suspension, so now that they are back it feels like Oklahoma is getting closer to realizing the potential that this group holds.

Awaiting them this week will be Kansas, who is having yet another tough season. The Jayhawks are still searching for their first win in 2020 under second-year head coach Les Miles, and things have not been pretty this season.

Kansas has lost by 20 or more points in every Big 12 game so far and lost their non-conference game to No. 15 Coastal Carolina at home by 15 points. In other words, it hasn’t been good.

Fans may be searching for things to look for in a game that seems so lopsided on paper, so here are the three biggest storylines heading into the Sooners-Jayhawks tilt on Saturday.
