This is when Patriots OC Bill O’Brien is expected to speak publicly

Bill O’Brien is expected to speak for the first time since joining the Patriots.

There hasn’t been much talk from the New England Patriots’ side of things after the hirings of Bill O’Brien as the new offensive coordinator and Adrian Klemm as the offensive line coach.

But that isn’t expected to last for long.

On Tuesday, via the Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan, the Patriots announced director of player personnel Matt Groh would be holding the team’s pre-draft press conference on April 18, which will feature the position coaches, including O’Brien and Klemm, meeting with reporters beforehand at 11 a.m. ET.

Change for the Patriots starts with the coaching staff. O’Brien and Klemm should bring the sort of stability the offensive unit experienced in the 2021 season, when Josh McDaniels was still overseeing things.

This isn’t O’Brien’s first rodeo with the Patriots considering he served under coach Bill Belichick as an offensive coordinator and assistant in the past. Meanwhile, Klemm was the first draft pick by Belichick in his first year with the Patriots as head coach back in 2000.

All of the pieces are coming together in hopes of turning the fallen Patriots back into contenders.
