This guy is GOOD: Anthony Black showing out for Team USA

Arkansas commit Anthony Black is playing for Team USA in Mexico this week.

Anthony Black is going to be an Arkansas basketball in 2022-23. For now, he’s just plying his trade on Team USA.

You know. No big deal.

Black, a 6-foot-7 point guard from Texas, is the No. 14 recruit in the country for the Class of 2022. He will be joining two other five-stars in Nick Smith Jr. and Jordan Walsh – in addition to four-stars Barry Dunning, Derrian Ford and Joseph Pinion – for the Hogs next year.

In warming up for his college career, Black is having a time at the FIBA U18 Americas Championship in Mexico this week.

Black turned in a 10-point, 11-rebound, seven-assist game in Team USA’s 100-55 win over Puerto Rico. It was his best game of the tournament so far

Arkansas will have six freshmen and six transfer players on its roster next year. As of now, the only holdovers are guard Devo Davis and forward Kamani Johnson. Everyone else on last year’s Elite Eight team has moved on, including forward Jaylin Williams, who last week announced he would stay in the NBA draft, forgoing his final two seasons of college eligibility.
